ASKA, Brooklyn

A brunch is the most typical thing to do during the weekend in New York. It doesn't matter the time of the year of the time of the day, you only need friends and a nice place.
In one of those mornings we found Aska. It is a restaurant in Williamsburg, the coolest neighborhood in Brooklyn.
It used to be a ware house, with super high ceilings in different heights, oversized graphics, light and natural colors, hard materials and a rustic decoration, but everything was chosen in detail to make Aska one of the warmest restaurants in Brooklyn.
Greatest quality in decoration and food. For all of you living here or anyone visiting, it is a must see.

Oversized graphics with a rustic decoration.

    Distintas alturas y distintos ambientes.
    Different heights and different atmosphere.

Aska is open to the street with a big garage gate. Great for summer nights!

Decoración y comida con mucho mimo.

Less is More

"Algo sencillo".
...
'Something simple'. It is what they should have thought when they started this restaurant in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Momo Sushi Shak is a Japanese restaurant, defined as " Japanese tapas and sushi featuring extensive vegetarian and vegan options ", that has taken the simplicity to the interior design, plates, logo, menu, lighting, presentation and even to the front door. And it turns out that it works!
It is placed in a garage in a couple of stairs above the street, with only three tables and that’s enough. Three tables and six benches of wood, about ten feet of length each one, so you share the table with your friends and a few strangers. The distribution is very linear, with a main corridor and four perpendicular corridors that allow walking up to the end of the tables. The ceiling is made of metallic plates, creating a very industrial look, with three lines of light above the tables, and a few candles illuminating the place. You can see the kitchen at the end of the restaurant, and see the chef cooking what you ordered! By the way, it was one of the best sushi I have eaten, at the best price - of sushi - that I have paid. I would recommend the “Spicy Mc bomb ", it’s delicious.
I think that when an idea is taken from the base of the project up to the most minimal and last detail, even simplicity, the result is achieved perfectly. That’s why I say that less is more.

Fachada sencilla, iluminación sencilla, disposición sencilla: restaurante genial.
Simple front, simple lighting, simple disposition: great restaurant.

A good idea: serving soya sauce in jars with three levels of wasabi, simply but it is necessary come up
