No sé...
...

A polished concrete facade and a doorstep with a hole and a strong fluorescent yellow light, nothing else. You don't need anything else to feel attracted and willing to enter. But who else wouldn’t put the name of the hotel at the entrance apart from Philippe Starck?
I went hunting for my next post and I didn't know where the main entrance of the Hudson Hotel was, but that powerful light made me go inside without knowing exactly where I was going. And the first thing you find are two escalators, with a light that attracts you up to the reception. A very long front desk in wood with the largest chandelier I've seen in my life.
The hotel is located in the heart of the City, two minutes away from Times Sq, Central Park or Columbus Circle. Everything in there will catch your attention. There is something different everywhere; a quirky point of light, an object that you'd never put in that place, or something huge. The whole hotel is full of contrasts.Mixtures of styles and materials, colors and textures... And everything is matching. It's a unique style that Starck reinvents, like the Louis XVI chair made with methacrylate. That "divine touch" of knowing how to put wooden floors and chandeliers with glass cubes and fluorescent lights in the same space. That "je ne sais pas" that finds the right way of mixing the exquisite elegance of a Chester chair with the madness of great pictures of cows with hats.
You may don't like it, you may love it. It may relax you or stress you. I don’t know... The only thing that is clear is that nothing goes unnoticed on the Hudson.
